Author Guidelines

The Editorial Board is always open to invite  a variety of academic papers. Within one month since the submission (which will be notified to the author) the Managing Editor will provide the author with the  decision on submitting his/her paper for review.

Typescript should be accompanied by abstract in English (150 to 200 words), key words (maximum five) and the author’s statement confirming the originality of content submitted.

Short information on the author should be sent in a separate file (author’s name, affiliation and office address, e-mail address)

Article should not exceed 18 standard pages, while book reviews — five standard pages. The standard page is written in Times New Roman, font 12, 1.5 line spacing. The length of larger contributions should be previously discussed with the Editorial Board.

References should be included in the text [(Giddens 2010: 45) is an example]. The full reference should appear in the section “References” at the end of the contribution.

The journal is peer-reviewed. The Editorial Board is supported by sixty permanent reviewers. Papers submitted for publication in ‘Contributions to Humanities’ are subject to two stages of the reviewing process. The first stage involves assessment by a member of the Editorial Board. Then, the Board appoints two external reviewers.

There is no charge for the processing of paper.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. Article should not exceed 7000 words, while book reviews — 2000 words. The standard page is written in Times New Roman, font 12, 1.5 line spacing.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
