Open Access Policy

·         The journal publishes under an Open Access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely and immediately accessible to readers worldwide, without the need for subscriptions or access fees.

·         Authors and their affiliated institutions are also not required to pay article processing charges (APCs), making publication entirely free of charge.

·         As a result, published research benefits from greater international visibility and accessibility, facilitating the dissemination of knowledge and collaboration among researchers worldwide.

·         The journal provides complimentary English language editing for all accepted manuscripts to ensure a clear, polished, and professionally presented final version.

·         The service is carried out by native English speakers and focuses on improving grammar, spelling, punctuation, wording, and overall language clarity.

·         Authors are not charged for this service, which helps ensure that the final published articles meet high standards of linguistic quality and readability.

 

Copyright policy & self-archiving policy.

The rights are reserved under Polish and International Copyright Regulations. The Editors of the journal prefer to publish the original and unpublished materials, both in the Internet and hard copy format.

  • Pre-print status: the authors can archive their pre-print papers on their personal web sites, however, the published source must be acknowledged.
  • Post-print status: the authors can archive their post-print articles acknowledging the publisher copyright and source, and linking to the published version or providing the exact bibliographic information. The published contents is accessible on a non-profit server, and the publisher’s version (PDF) may be used.

 Permission requests for Re-use

Material published in the JCME is subject to all applicable copyright, database protection, and other rights. Therefore, for any publication, whether printed or electronic, permission must be obtained to use material for which the author(s) does not already own the copyright. This material may be, for example, a figure, diagram, table, photo or some other image.

Author reusing their own work published by the JCME

You do not need to request permission to reuse your own figures, diagrams, etc, that were originally published in a JCME publication. However, permission should be requested for use of the whole article or chapter except if reusing it in a thesis. If you are including an article or book chapter published by us in your thesis please ensure that your co-authors are aware of this.

Reuse of material that was published originally by the JCME must be accompanied by the appropriate acknowledgement of the publication. The form of the acknowledgement is dependent on the journal in which it was published originally, as detailed in 'Acknowledgements'.

 

USE OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND AI-ASSISTED TECHNOLOGIES

For Authors:

·         Artificial intelligence (AI) tools may be used to improve the readability of a manuscript, but they must be used responsibly.

·         Authors are required to verify all content generated by AI and to disclose how and to what extent AI was used in the manuscript (Author Declaration).

·         The use of images generated by AI tools is prohibited, except where such images result directly from the research methodology.

·         Images must not distort or misrepresent the original data.

·         The generation of graphical materials using AI (e.g. graphical abstracts) is not permitted.

For Reviewers:

·       AI tools may only be used for language editing of the review after its content has been independently prepared by the reviewers.
