Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. I have read Author's Statement Form and accepted all policies.
  • I confirm I used Journal's paper template and I followed the guidelines to prepare submission.
  • In Comments to Editor, I presented list of all contributing authors (First and Last Name, e-mail, affiliation, ORCID ID) in the correct order.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted for publication by AGH University Press must adhere to the following requirements:

1. Double-Blind Review Process

The review process is double-blind. To ensure anonymity:

  • Remove all author names and affiliations from the initial manuscript submission.
  • Check the authors’ names, affiliations, and ORCID IDs only when submitting the final accepted version.

2. Language Quality

Ensure the manuscript is written in high-quality English. Perform proofreading if necessary.

3. Information for Editors

In the Comments to Editors section of the submission system, provide a full list of all contributing authors, including:

  • Last Name and First Name
  • Affiliation
  • Email Address
  • ORCID ID

4. Author Data in the Submission System

When entering the article details in the Open Journal System, ensure the information for all authors is complete. This includes:

  • Last Name and First Name
  • Affiliation
  • Email Address
  • ORCID ID

Note: Once the article is submitted, you will not be able to add or modify author details in the system.

5. Manuscript - please use the template!

6. Figures, Tables, and Photographs

All figures, tables, and photographs must be numbered sequentially based on their references in the text.

Provide drawings and photographs with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

7. Mathematical Equations

  • Write equations on separate lines and number them consecutively, with numbers in round brackets on the right-hand side.
  • Clearly distinguish Greek characters and symbols.
  • If using Word, text format for mathematical symbols is recommended whenever possible.

8. References

Use square brackets [ ] for in-text citations.

9. Final Submission Requirements

After acceptance, provide the final version of the manuscript.

By following these guidelines, your manuscript will meet the standards for review and publication at AGH University Press.
