Abstract

Na obszarze Geoparku Przedgórze Sudeckie występuje wiele interesujących obiektów o wybitnych walorach geologicznych.Nabierają one szczególnego znaczenia zwłaszcza wtedy, kiedy powiązana jest z nimi działalność człowieka. Mogą to być stare wyrobiska podziemne, obiekty wykonane ludzką ręką, np. wały kultowe na Ślęży i Raduni, a także miejsca dawnej eksploatacji. Interesujące zarówno pod względem edukacyjnym, jak i turystycznym jest powiązanie miejsc wydobycia surowców skalnych z budowlami wykonanymi z pozyskanego materiału czy innymi artefaktami. Stąd także obiekty i miejsca, mające oba rodzaje walorów i stanowiące istotne dla regionu geostanowiska kulturowe. Ich potencjał zwiększa atrakcyjność turystyczną i może przyczynić się do zwiększenia ruchu turystycznego na opisywanym obszarze. W celu wyróżnienia najbardziej interesujących geostanowisk kulturowych leżących na obszarze Geoparku Przedgórze Sudeckie dokonano waloryzacji geoturystycznej 20 wybranych obiektów. Dzięki przeprowadzonej waloryzacji możliwa była ocena wartości merytorycznej, dydaktycznej i atrakcyjności turystycznej wytypowanych geostanowisk. Waloryzacja wykazała, że wiele opisywanych geostanowisk to miejsca bardzo atrakcyjne pod względem rozwoju turystyki. W dalszym ciągu jednak wiele do życzenia pozostawia poziom zagospodarowania turystycznego. Dużym problemem jest także promocja i niewielka ilość rzetelnych informacji, które można znaleźć w ogólnie dostępnych źródłach przekazu, w tym w Internecie. Przeprowadzona ocena pozwoliła na wyróżnienie 10 najbardziej cennych geostanowisk kulturowych na obszarze Przedgórza Sudeckiego – Geo-kultur TOP 10. Obiekty te powinny być objęte szczególnym zainteresowaniem władz, instytucji i organizacji lokalnych, gdyż znaczna część z nich wymaga podjęcia działań mających na celu poprawę ich bazy turystycznej. Osiągnięcie tego celu będzie możliwe dzięki współpracy i wzajemnemu wsparciu tych instytucji. Dlatego istotne w tym przypadku może być podejmowanie inicjatyw przez Geopark Przedgórze Sudeckie, który może pełnić rolę organizacji koordynującej wspólne poczynania. Takie działania mogą się przyczynić do poprawy atrakcyjności turystycznej regionu, a co za tym idzie również jego rozwoju społeczno-gospodarczego.

The Sudetic Foreland Geopark area includes plenty of interesting objects of high geological value. Their value is highly increased when they originate from human activity. These may be old underground mine workings, objects made with human hands such as stone walls on Ślęża and Radunia mountains, or sites of former open-pit exploitation. Especially interesting in education and tourism is the connection between the area of mineral resources exploitation and both the structures, and the artifacts made from this material. Hence, such objects and areas are cultural geosites important for the region. Their presence increase the tourism value of the region and may also increase the tourist fl ow there. In order to identify the most interesting cultural geosites located in the Sudetic Foreland Geopark, geotourism valorization of 20 selected objects was run. Thanks to the valorization, it was possible to evaluate the substantive, educational and tourism attractiveness of selected geosites. Evaluation has shown that many described geosites have great potential for tourism despite still insuffi cient level of their development. There is also a problem of promotion and small amount of relevant information that can be found in public media, including the Internet. The evaluation enabled us to distinguish 10 most valuable cultural geosites in the area of the Sudetic Foreland – the Geo-culture TOP 10. These cultural geosites should be of particular interest to local authorities, institutions and organizations, as many of them require action to improve their tourism infrastructure. Achieving this goal will be possible through cooperation and mutual support of these institutions. Therefore, it may be important for the Sudetic Foreland Geopark to undertake actions and, possibly, to operate as a coordinator of joint activities. Such actions may contribute to the improvement of tourism attractiveness of the region and, consequently, to its socio-economic progress.
