Focus and Scope

Mechanics and Control covers a wide range of theoretical and applied aspects of mechanics, mechanical engineering, vibration theory, machine dynamics, robotics, mechatronics, vibroacoustics, control of dynamical systems, active noise and vibration control methods, smart technologies, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, operational reliability, problems of computer-aided simulations and design and noise and vibration environment protection. High-quality overview papers in the above fields will also be considered.

Peer Review Process

  1. Each manuscript is subject to review by independent reviewers.
  2. Reviewer names are kept in confidence.
  3. Each reviewer is requested to confirm the lack of the conflict of interest.
  4. The review ends with an explicit recommendation whether the manuscript is suitable for publication or it is to be rejected.
  5. The journal publishes once a year a list of reviewers.


The review form of manuscripts submitted to Mechanics and Control uses the following items:

1. Reviewer’s recommendation

2. Reviewer’s overall rating of paper

3. For the paper:

3.1. Does the paper report original research?

3.2. Is the research methodology and treatment for the study appropriate and applied properly?

3.3. Is the title adequate?

3.4. Are the summary and conclusions adequate?

3.5. Is the arrangement of material suitable?

3.6. Is adequate reference made to other works in the field?

3.7. Are any portions of paper, or any illustrations unnecessary?

3.8. Can any material be deleted without detriment?

3.9. Is the language of paper correct?

Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal that supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

In agreement with this initiative, the users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles published in Mechanics and Control. The constraints imposed on reproduction and distribution are that the integrity of the articles will be preserved, the authors will be properly acknowledged and the origin of the publications will be made known.
